I’m guessing they’re referring to his Women, one of which is hinted to Die in OMD: Black Cat, MJ, and May. Sooo…
1) Black Cat fails him, because she can’t help him as a Superhero
2) MJ saves him, bringing him out of the abyss
3) Aunt May damns him with her death, driving him almost to killing.
Also, I’m loving the ‘Sensation #41′ cover for the ”Deadliest Foes” thing. I’m just thrilled by the idea of these utterly ordniary people all having what Doc Ock, Venom and Green Goblin never had: the potential to destroy Spider-Man.

They could also be referring to the three “ordinary people” on the cover.

Salieri: What makes you think they’re oridinary? They could have costumed identities or powers.
Something really bugged me about that MJ piece and it took me a while to figure out what it was. She has man arms. Those are not the hands of a super model.
