Moonstone Books has announced it is bringing back Airboy in an all new series written by Chuck Dixon. It’s all part of Air Fighters #1, that hits stands in January 2010.

Flying in Airboy’s squadron you’ll see Sky Wolf, Black Angel, Flying Dutchman, Bald Eagle, Flying Fool, Iron Ace and Captain Midnight as they take on the original Axis of Evil in the air, on the ground and anywhere else their fight for freedom takes them.

With stories navigated by Tom DeFalco, Martin Powell, Jeff Limke, Len Kody, Mike Bullock and Joe Gentile, the Air Fighters will once again earn their wings by making the skies safe for liberty!

  • well it’s about dang time! Not sure if I’ll warm up to the WWII reinvention, but it’s his native environment, so I’ll give it a go.

    By the end of 2010, I predict a movie deal, with Haley Joel Osment in the scarf and goggles, Jeremy Irons as Misery, and Megan Fox as Valkyrie.

  • The Captain Midnight mention has be interested. I’ve got a bunch iof old time radio shows of that character and would be curious to see what one of the most manly writers in comics would do with him.
