What is going on with his uniform?!?! He looks like a pinata.

Blame Maguire…I think he was the one that started drawing Cap’s armor as scale mail armor. Byrne used to draw it as ring mail (came in handy w/ the return to England vs. the vampire Baron), but after the Maguire mini-series (forget the name…it’s the one that retells Cap’s origin), I think it has officially become scale mail. People picked it up again in the last few years. Obviously, if you try to do too much with the details, it comes out looking odd…like a pinata :D

The art is cool. It seems like Bryan Hitch combined with Alex Ross. I hope that people don’t take that as insult.

I usually dig the scale mail… just not with the giant scales.

Yeah, I’m not liking the scale mail armor.

I would imagine this Cap sounds like a Slinky when he runs…
