wizworldchitown.jpgIt was announced at Wizard World Chicago that Bryan Hitch’s next project at Marvel will be reuniting with Mark Millar for a 12-issue run on Fantastic Four.

The duo plan on returning the Fantastic Four to the top of the charts, and promise to get the issues out monthly too.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Hitch said, “Well, we’re actually four issues in now and when I get back from holiday I’ll be starting on issue #5. So, yeah, I’ve done four issues in the time it would have taken me to do one issue of “The Ultimates,” so I think we’re cracking quite well.”

Good stories, good characters, monthly, and two great names behind it? Sounds like a winner to me! Millar and Hitch join forces to tackle the Fantastic Four beginning in 2008.

Whoo hoo! I was dreading this announcement what withit being the worst kept Internet secret of the year but the enthusiasm those two men displayed in the interviews has won me over. So long as we don’t get massive delays I’m on this like Lindsay Lohan on a keg!

It’ll be great…but let’s be real. A 12-Issue run with these two will take about 2 years to finish.
