Starro Attacks - the Heroclix Event

I’ve got my fare share of DC and Marvel Heroclix figures cozied away in a secret room I have yet to reveal to the Major Spoiler masses. I haven’t picked up any in quite a while, mainly because the local store has stopped carrying the line, and I really don’t have anyone to play against.

But I am super excited about the Starro Attacks Heroclix event featuring the new Justice League booster packs with several exclusive Starro related figures.

Wizkids Games has sent us some high-res images of the figures including a huge Starro that should put that Sinestro figure to shame.

If you want to get one of the Slave of Starro figures you’ll have to participate in one of the in store events at a location near you.

Sigh…yes, you can also pay too much money and hope you can win the figures off eBay if you decide to go that way, but seriously, some of these events in smaller cities are very easy to win the tournament.

The schedule for the “STARRO Attacks” World HeroClix events is as follows:

Starro Event Schedule

Week Dates Slave of Starro Participation Prizes
Week 1 Sept 20-23 AQUAMAN
Week 2 Sept 27-30 THE FLASH
Week 3 Oct 4-7 GREEN ARROW
Week 4 Oct 11-14 GREEN LANTERN
Week 5 Oct 20, noon WINNER RECEIVES STARRO THE CONQUEROR Colossal figure

Following the completion of each scheduled event, award each participating registered player the appropriate HeroClix Slave of Starro participation prize figure for that week (one per player, up to your available supply). Any remaining game pieces should be used to promote the next week’s scheduled event.

Just wanted to let you and your readers know that you don’t have to win the tournaments to get the Starro slave figures. Every participant gets one. The Marvel Galactus event (with four Heralds to collect) just wound up last weekend, and it was a blast. It’s a great way to kick off a set.
