The Warner Bros. Panel wrapped up a little while ago, and here’s our Rapid-Fire Roundup of the talking points. The oddest part of these kinds of panels is there isn’t a whole lot of talking going on so much as it’s a chance for the studio to get its wares in front of fans. There were some surprise guests, and yes, Megan Fox was there.

The Book of Eli
- The Book of Eli takes place about 20 years in the future after a major war.
- Gary Oldman wants something Denzel Washington – the Book of Eli.
- There is a motion comic version of the comic that will be made available
Rumor Batman 3
In the Eli panel, Gary Oldman is quoted as saying
“We’re starting filming on the next Batman next year. So it won’t be out for another two years at least, I think. But you didn’t hear it from me!” -EMPIRE ONLINE

Nightmare on Elm Street
- If you didn’t already know, Jackie Haley is the new Freddie Krueger
- The film is not an origin tale, but rather a retelling of the original Nightmare film
- Robert Englund will not appear in the film
- Movie hits theaters on April 30
The Box
- This one sounds really weird, and if you’ve seen the trailer, you might get a creepy feeling running down your spine.
- Premise: Cameron Diaz opens the door and is greeted by a strange man, who gives her a box with a button on it. If she pushes the button, someone dies, but she get’s a million dollars. She pushes the button. Things go crazy after that.
- The film is directed by Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko)

Jonah Hex
- Yes, Megan Fox was there.
- So was some guy named Josh Brolin.
- Did you see the poster yet?
- The film is inspired by many Jonah Hex tales, but does not single out a specific tale
- The film opens June 18, 2010
Sherlock Holmes
- Robert Downey Jr. made an unannounced appearance. No one asked about Iron Man (thankfully)
- Downey said he enjoyed working on a smart period piece.
- If audiences pay careful attention, they’ll see some other Holmes characters appear
