It was more spotty in seasons 4-7, but there were still some real high points just fewer and further in between. I missed season 8, aside from the Zatanna and Legion episodes. It is the longest tenured adaptation of a comic book property into any other medium, so I respect it despite its occasional goofiness. I think DC and Warner Bros. made a huge mistake in not using "Smallville" as a platform to promote "Superman Returns". I am not saying cast Welling over Routh, just a few little foreshadowing and some common sets would have made a big difference. Anyway ... Its not that im a snob and i cant enjoy a show like Smallville..But dammit i want at least one episode where Bruce Wayne shows up and is a complete douchebag...just one episode.
