Oliver Joins Speed Racer

Variety is reporting Christian Oliver has joined the ast of Warner Bros.’ Speed Racer. No word on what characters Oliver will play, as all the good parts are taken.

    I have no idea who he is, but I’ll toss this out there: Perhaps he’s being brought on to establish a potential villain for the sequel, like Billy Dee Jones / Tommy Lee Williams in the original Batman franchise.

    Of course, by the time we get to see him become a villain, Joel Schumacher will have taken over the directorial role, he’ll have been replaced by another actor, and Speed Racer will have nipples on his jumpsuit and an oddly oversized codpiece.
