This all sounds very familiar. When the original Conan movie was in the works, the production company hired and Austrian body builder to swing the sword and bring order to the Hyborian Age. For the remake Nu Image/Millenium and Lionsgate have repeated the formula by picking up 41-year old Roland Kickinger to play Conan.
Conan begins shooting in the fall.

… huh …
Looks like Flex Mentallo.
but, can he act?
i love the old Conan movie, but shwarzy can’t act to save his life, and that threw me off from time to time while watching the movie.
Looking at the guy’s webpage, he’s multilingual, but English ain’t one of them listed. The site’s in English though. Odd.
Holy crap. This guy _looks_ like a “Conan”, and not O’Brian. And let’s hope he can act, at least a little more than the standard “stoic, mono(or close to)syllabic noble-warrior.” Otherwise, I might almost rather have that Other Conan I mentioned in this movie…
Oops. I saw “actor found” and mentally added the word “dead” after it — isn’t that the way you normally see the phrase “actor found” in headlines??? ;)
I forgot he did this commercial, think he’s been acting for years too

Isn’t he a bit old to be a young Conan? I think Ahnold was in his late-twenties to mid-thirties when he first played the Cimmerian.
Isn’t it a bit weird to be restaring an action movie franchise with a 41-year old guy in the lead?
well it might be a remake that starts with King Conan. Besides, the link has someone debunk the whole idea anyway.
He was on Son of the Beach with Leila Arcieri, Jaime Bergman, and Timothy Stack. He spoke his lines in English.
they’ve picked roland for his uncanny resemblance to arnie. roland actually starred as arnie in a biopic
