Cast Iron, Man… er.. Iron Man Cast

Yeah, I’m still trying to catch up on sleep since Mason joined the Major Spoilers Family, so I just ran across the Entertainment Weekly photo of the cast of Iron Man. Robert Downey, Jr. is looking pretty good, and I can believe him as Tony Stark, and if the other images that have been sneaking out are any indication, I’m going to like this movie - that is providing the little one allows me to go see it!

Tony and Pepper look like they could break into a dance number, Jim looks bored, and Obadiah looks like he wants to rape me.

I saw this in EW as well. I didn’t realize Jeff Bridges is playing Stane (and he does look pretty ruthless). So maybe we see Iron Monger in IM 2?

So refreshing to see great actors in every major role of the movie. I can’t wait to see Downey and Bridges acting opposite each other. I’d interested to see this cast in any movie.

Oh, and thank GOD for no Mandarin!

  6. Josh Says:

I read on AICN.com that Samuel Jackson will indeed be Nick Fury in the Iron Man movie.

  7. Brent F. Says:

Nick Fury isn’t even in the movie.

  8. Mark I. Says:

Brent: it’s supposed to be an unbilled cameo. Maybe less than two minutes, but laying the groundwork for Fury to be in future Marvel productions.

  9. Brent F. Says:

It’s just a silly rumor created by overzealous fanboys. These cameo rumors pop up every single time a superhero film goes into production.

  10. Matthew Peterson Says:

Well, Sam Jackson has said multiple times that he would LOVE to appear in a comic-book film…

  11. Questworld Says:

She looks like Nina Williams in that shot.

  12. Brent F. Says:

I think Sam Jackson is too old to be playing the lead role in any superhero film. If another Nick Fury film is made and it is based on the Ultimate version then I would think they would hire a younger actor who would be able to keep up with the schedule of a possible film franchise.
