As a fan of the original OAV, I can honestly say that the movie was GREAT, lots of gory action and killer martial arts sequences. The camera absolutely adores the actress Saya. They naturaly added a few more characters and some subplots, fleshing out Saya's story. It's not a perfect movie; The CGI was primitive by today's standards and the monster costumes were a little rubbery-looking. And there's a scene near the end where the choice of language spoken by the characters involved was a little silly (you'll know it when you see it) but overall, I was very happy with it, DRAGONBALL this wasn't. It was very, very faithful to the source material, and considering the budget they probably had to work with, they conducted themselves rather well. Kudos!! As John above me has said, this is one of my favorites, and these scenes look pretty good. The anime movie is 48 minutes long and ends rather unresolved, so it should be interesting to see this on the big screen in a (presumably?) longer film.
