I was going for something different today when I stumbled upon J. Scott Campbell’s Padme commission. I always dig his work, and this one jumped out at me.

Even with an artist this good, the character is nothing better than a walking womb-carrying machine. Look at her, thrusting it at us. We KNOW you’ll miscarry the space messiahs, Padme. Why not get a hobby while you wait for it to happen? There’s much more dignity in “The Space Princess Who Sewed Blankets For Charity” than “The Space Princess Who Miscarried The Babies Of Darth Vader When She Was Much Older Than Him”.
“Miscarriage or spontaneous abortion is the spontaneous end of a pregnancy at a stage where the embryo or fetus is incapable of surviving…”
Since the twins lived it isn’t a miscarriage
Ah, yes…I always confuse her and her maternal troubles with those of that one female from that drivel-filled webcomic about videogaming whose title I never remember.
My point stands. This is a very beautiful pin-up; but it is also a very beautiful picture of womb-thrusting.
Ah, you can always count on J. Scott Campbell to deliver a drawing of a very pretty lady…
