Brian Bendis has been on record as stating that he hates when characters like The Hood, The Sentry, Marvel Boy, etc. show up and then never reappear, so he's using them. That said, The Hood is one of those characters that I liked in his initial incarnation, and have hated in every appearance since. I do believe that is the case. Brian Bendis has been on record as stating that he hates when characters like The Hood, The Sentry, Marvel Boy, etc. show up and then never reappear, so he’s using them.

That was a great story arc, though.
