Diamond Comic Distributors has sent Major Spoilers the breakdown of the top 300 comics for the month ending March 2009.   DC’s Batman: Battle for the Cowl #1 sold well, but not enough to beat Dark Avengers #3 and New Avengers #51 (both Dark Reign tie-ins).  It, Justice League of America #31, and Dark Horse’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer #23 were the only non-Marvel titles in the Top Ten for the month, which means, once again, Marvel took the month with a 47% hold on the direct market.

As reported a few days ago, IDW Publishing had a nice run for the month coming in third for March 2009, beating Dark Horse Comics by a mere .3% in the unit share column.

Take the jump to see where your favorite comic falls on the Top 300 List, and don’t forget, you can sort the columns.

    what does Index refer to?

being able to sort the columns is a great feature and saves a whole lotta time! thanks

I can’t believe Tim Truman’s Conan is doing better than BPRD The Black Goddess.

Conan the Cimmerian is so intolerably boring I it’s shocking that even a 1000 would buy it.

Fables – another incredibly and ludicrously overrated series. It’s like Sandman for retarded people who can’t appreciate the genius of Sandman.

Fables has no depth. Fables might as well be an f-ing Soap Opera with a few tacked-on fantastic elements.

    • As always Cory – In Your Opinion. Obviously more people think these titles are worth the read.

Soap opera? You mean like the story of a man who feuds with his sisters, continually has romantic drama, searches for his long-lost prodigal brother, dies but comes back recast as a new actor, and has to deal with hostile takeovers of the business that he built for himself?
