DC has released some interior inked pages from the upcoming Red Robin series, and while the company isn’t revealing who is beneath the mask, the fight style looks familiar.

Well, if that image is supposed to mean that Robin and R.R. don’t operate as a team, and that one works days while the other pulls graveyard shifts…. But look at Robin’s arm vs R.R.’s arm… Robin is “Tim-sized”, Reddy is NOT. Unless the Red Robin gear comes with foam muscles, ees not same people een two suits. :)

If it IS Tim, and this is supposed to be some kind of ‘Evolution’ picture, I think it’s a very bizarre decision for DC to make. Tim only recently (and by recently I mean BFTC and this cover) ‘bulked up’ to what he is now as Robin. Even in his last Teen Titans appearance he was still very scrawny. To age him even more so soon does not make any sense, especially given the ‘timeless’ quality of comics. I guess they’re trying to make BFTC establish some kind of status quo for all the supporting characters in order to set up what is next, but it all seems very forced especially given the contested quality of the series.
I would have preferred to see him as an older teen Robin for a few more years before making him his ‘own man’.
Everything going on in the Bat books seems very rushed and unnecessary. Ever since War Games, DC have been tearing apart what was a very good formula for the Bat Family. That Morrison’s vision has taken over the Batman universe, and to an extent the DC universe, is very alarming.
Oooooooooooooohhhhhh… This past month, the DC column has been saying something to the extent of “I can’t wait til we can tell peeps what’s up with dat pic, yo.” Duckface’s last post kinda shook something loose in my brain, and here’s what it is. MAYBE “Red Robin” takes place 10 years after “Robin”. Like, for the first few issues we are given concurrent tales of “both”, and then in issue 8 or 10 we find out that RR is the older Tim Drake, and the Robin story we have been reading is what _caused_ him to become the badass Red Robin we’ve wondered things about for howevermanyissues. This also ties in with something I meant to mention before but simply forgot… I can’t see Tim as he currently is wearing the “belts of bullets” as Red Robin, because that implies he has a gun to fire all those bullets with. I figure he’d omit/redesign that part, _or_ something drastic happened to him that caused a change in his “non-lethal weapons preference” (remember, he chose the bo-staff when Lady Shiva offered him mastery in _any_ weapon). However, I might be guilty of thinking _way_ too much. :D
I still think the name “Red Robin” is dumb.
Red Robin is a restaurant chain with yummy seasoned fries and an above average turkey burger…it’s not a name of a superhero.
Whoever Red Robin is, maybe he’ll turn into the new Dr. Fate! I mean, why not?

what if Bruce was Red Robin. Undercover throughout the whole Battle for the Cowl. The vicious headbutt in the last panel of the second-to-last picture? if you draw bat ears on it its obvious.
Red Robin was Dick Grayson in “Kingdom Come.”
In Countdown to Final Crisis, Jason, as part of the challengers, travel to earth 51, where that earths Batman gives Jason the red robin costume. Later, when that earth’s Batman is killed by the joker, Jason takes revenge by killing him. Throughout the rest of his adventures with the challengers, Jason wares the costume, but when returning to earth throws it away.
Later Red Robin was Ulysses Hadrian Armstrong.
I think it will be Jason Todd – though it would be cool if it was Tim.
