Marvel dropped off a sneak peek of Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #3 and also let us know issue #2 has completely sold out at Diamond. Issue #2 had a surprise ending, which makes me wonder how it will be dealt with in issue #3. The sneak peek gives some clues, but not the final answer.

May’s Marvel Zombies/Army Of Darkness #3 will see Ash try to save humanity by searching for the Necronomicon (how does he do that considering the surprise “ending” of issue #2, fans will need to check out #3 to find out), but even with his considerable zombie killing skills, can he survive his battle with Marvel’s Mightiest Heroes, err, Zombies? There’s only one place you’ll find all the answers - true believer!

The issue hits stands on May 2 for $2.99.

AHAHAHA! Marvel, you have DONE IT AGAIN!

Oh, and…I’d like to see the review for Issue #2. If it’s not too much trouble…

  2. Matthew Peterson Says:

It’s on it’s way in the next four days…

    Edit: Scratch that! It’s tomorrow!

  3. Salieri Says:

Dude. I thank you very much.

  4. Stephen Schleicher Says:

Salieri: I’ll give you a sneak peek at the review - Howard the Duck eats someone’s brains. That someone being a very important character. Or so we are lead to believe. Good, but fast read.

  5. Matthew Peterson Says:

Salieri: With publishing schedules being what they are, I try to keep the books that I cover monthly rotating. Since Supergirl & Legion was before Zombies last month, it’s before it this month… and I just bought a new Thunderbolts! Wheee!!!

Stephen: You forgot Dazzler in her skintight silver costume with more cleavage than Lanie Kazan and Shelly Winters in a plastic lifeboat.

  6. Salieri Says:

Cool…Id heard we’d have a Zombie Howard. Kudos to seeing it tomorrow!

  7. Stephen Schleicher Says:

Salieri: and before you ask about USM 109, my review schedule is - whenever I can get to it. I’m so busy lately trying to get my other jobs taken care of (among a few other things, i’ll elaborate on in the next couple of weeks), that my only time for reviews is my weekly 52.

What I will probably do is review the whole “Let’s Kill Kingpin” storyline when the arc finishes.

For now, Matthew is the man when it comes to reviews, and I’ll be your humble News Boy! serving up the daily stuff.

I prefer to use my Legion of Super Heroes code-name, Recap Lad!

    Also: Blok!

(I’m trying to start an internet meme. I wonder if Christopher Bird would help me?)

“Howard the Duck eats someone’s brains” - This I have to see!

  10. Stephen Schleicher Says:

Here’s a sneak peek for you until Matt’s reviews

  11. Salieri Says:

Oh Oh…a picutre is beginning to form…I think I’m beginning to understand why we have Marvel-616-Ash now…

  12. bloodee Says:

    Thanks for posting the pic.

  13. Salieri Says:

Notice that the preview’s panels - along with narrative- are cleverly rendered so that we can’t tell which Ash is J and which is G. Also…this book’s title is partially ‘Army of darkness’. So… with the death of Ashley J, are we gonna see the comic debut of Evil Ash, and the Army of Darkness itself fighting the Marvel Zombies?

Oh, and half-eaten Modok doesn’t nearly compare with ‘Feed Me’ Madrox.
