From the moment Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog hit the intardwebz, fans of musical comedies, with a superhero hook have been in seventh heaven. While there have been a couple of attempts to tell a Dr. Horrible origin story, the official take on the villain’s past can only be found in the pages of Dr. Horrible #1 from Dark Horse Comics.

Image Comics has announced the Glen Brunswick and Dan McDaid superhero series is being sent back to the printers for a second release. I guess I didn’t realize how much press the first issue received as the first issue was featured on the CBS Evening News, New York 1, The Courier Post, The Bergen Record and the Star Ledger.

“Dan and I are just thrilled to death with the sell-out,” Brunswick said. “We put our heart and soul into JERSEY GODS. It’s a very personal project. We’re elated to find that so many people are feeling passionate about it as well.”

The second printing of Jersey Gods #1 and Jersey Gods #2 both arrive March 4, 2009 with a $3.50 cover price.
