Good news for Reaper fans, the CW has announced it is bringing back the show early for the spring season.
The move puts “Reaper” at 8 p.m. Tuesdays followed by “90210,” a shake-up that protects the teen soap from Fox’s “American Idol.” “Reaper” will still air its 13 episodes straight, through without repeats as originally planned.
I like the idea of airing all the episodes in a row without a rerun, but still find myself confused as to why Reaper keeps getting a mid-season slot instead of a full year. Last year it was one of the best shows on television, and one of the best shows on The CW, right behind Smallville.
Plus it has that incredibly hot Missy Peregrym.

So what date does it start?
Were the ratings of this show that low? I was afraid it was going to get cancelled.
I think Warners and CW have always planned for Reaper to be a mid-season show they would bring back every spring, very much like what USA Network is doing with Burn Notice – 13 episodes, and then get out, leaving the audience wanting more. It sucks viewers have to wait an entire year for the next round of 13 shows, and that kind of thinking could backfire on networks as interest/memory of the show could easily wane.
